GOAL OF THE GAME

The player with the most triplets is the winner

Rows of three game pieces

The goal is to create as many rows of 3 game pieces of the same color as possible. These rows are called triplets and can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.

GAME PREPARATION

A few more details before it starts

Game pieces

CHOOSING COLORS
To divide the 8 game colors amongst the players, a game piece of each color is placed on the table and the players choose their colors in turn until the last one is taken. After this, each player takes the 8 pieces of their chosen colors.

OPENING
The players decide who will set the first game piece and turns are taken thereafter.

GAME PROCESS

The game begins

START OF PLAY
Each player plays one color per turn. The challenge is to place triplets, while at the same time preventing the opponent from doing so.

THE STARTING RULE
In the first round, the players must play a game piece of each color, one at each turn. During the second round, they must repeat the order of the colors played in the first round. After all players have played two stones of the same color, the players are free to choose the color they want to play at each turn. It is important to note that each player may play only one stone per turn.

Example for 2 players

If a player places the stones in the order

"blue - orange - white - dark blue"

on the board, their next 4 pieces must be placed in that very same order

"blue - orange- white - dark blue".

This requires 8 moves per player. Then the colors can be chosen freely.

THE GAME PIECE CASES
The game piece cases help you effortlessly remember your starting color sequence and keep track of how many stones you have left.
Two pieces of each color are set slightly apart from the others to make remembering the starting rule easier.

GAME FLOW

The game board is getting more and more colorful

THE GAME BOARD

Step by step, the game board is filled with the colorful game pieces. Care must be taken that the game board is filled from the bottom to the top. This means that a game piece may only be placed in the lowest empty row.

The small dots on the board mark exactly where the game pieces should be placed.

THE SCORE
The score is recorded in the game's chronicle. Each time a player makes a triplet, this is noted in the notepad.

SPECIAL SCORES
Rows of 4, 5 or 6 game pieces of the same color
Rows of 4 or 5 pieces of the same color have no effect on the score.
Rows of 6 pieces of the same color count as another triplet.

Multiple triplets in a single turn
If a player completes more than one triplet in a single turn, they all count individually.

END OF THE GAME

And the winner is ...

The game ends when the last stone has been placed on the board. The player who made the most triplets is the winner.
The game ends in a draw if all game pieces have been placed and the players have the same score or have made no triples at all.

QUICK VERSION

If little time remains

The quick version of the game ends as soon as the first triplet is made. This game version reduces the average game time to 5-10 minutes.
